Our next project meet up is on Friday 27th April at the Autism Resource Centre in Crewe Town Centre.

We'll be doing some extra knitting, crochet and sewing and every one is welcome to come along and help us out.

Autism Network Resource Centre Prince Albert Street, CW12DF
Last Friday was an activity day day of sewing up, as we are starting to piece together all of the squares that have been made by the community, and the knitted squares we have received throught the post over the past 8 months.
The seniors group had already been busy over the past few weeks , sewing up the squares into larger panels ready to install around the big tree in Jubilee Gardens and on several other trees around the town...

This is just a smal selection of all of the collected knitted squares

All the ladies hard at work, with tea and cake to get them through the afternoon :)

Pastel perfect :)

These knitted squares have been knitted up in beautiful pastel shades, they look amazing.
Thank you to Clare Schofield for taking the time to knit so many squares and for adding those lovely little embelishments, what a fab idea.

All the way from USA

These two squares were sent in to us from the USA!!!.
Thank you Judy Marteney for your beautiful contribution to our project ...

A few spares

This afternoon I discovered a few stray squares knocking about my studio which I thought would do nicely for the project. I think they must be left over from another project I made last year :)

Vivid squares for the Tree Cozy..

Many thanks to Mrs L Fates and to Kirsten Baker who have knitted us some bright and textures squares to add to the tree cozy project...

crochet texture

Take a look at this lovely crochet square we received from Frances Rainforth who is a 3rd year textile design student at Manchester Metropolitan University.
We think it's absolutly stunning, and we're trying to see hoe it's been made... mmmm!!?

Decorative patches

We LOVE these decorative crochet patches, made by Carol Parker from Spalding. They are so carefully designed and we can see how much thought has been put into these squares for thr Tree Cozy, thank you Carol :)

We also love Carol's little message ' from one knitter to another' :)

Textured Knits...

Thank you to Jean Iceton for these beautiful textures knitted squares. We love the colours and the stitches Jean has used to make her contribution to the Tree Cozy Project :)

Received squares..

Thank you to Margret Brooks for the wonderful bundle of red knitted and crochetd squares.
They will look fabulous in ourTree Cozy project :)
