A few spares

This afternoon I discovered a few stray squares knocking about my studio which I thought would do nicely for the project. I think they must be left over from another project I made last year :)

Vivid squares for the Tree Cozy..

Many thanks to Mrs L Fates and to Kirsten Baker who have knitted us some bright and textures squares to add to the tree cozy project...

crochet texture

Take a look at this lovely crochet square we received from Frances Rainforth who is a 3rd year textile design student at Manchester Metropolitan University.
We think it's absolutly stunning, and we're trying to see hoe it's been made... mmmm!!?

Decorative patches

We LOVE these decorative crochet patches, made by Carol Parker from Spalding. They are so carefully designed and we can see how much thought has been put into these squares for thr Tree Cozy, thank you Carol :)

We also love Carol's little message ' from one knitter to another' :)

Textured Knits...

Thank you to Jean Iceton for these beautiful textures knitted squares. We love the colours and the stitches Jean has used to make her contribution to the Tree Cozy Project :)

Received squares..

Thank you to Margret Brooks for the wonderful bundle of red knitted and crochetd squares.
They will look fabulous in ourTree Cozy project :)

School and community participation...

Many, many thanks to Pebble Brook Primary School for all of your hard work in sewing together many of the knitted squares that will form the Tree Cozy Project in Crewe town centre this summer.
Many thanks to the Senior group from Crewe who volunteered their expert sewing skills to Year 6 and to Pebble Brook Primary for allowing us to visit.
Here is what we got up to...
